Like most artists, the work I make is an extension of the way I see the world. At their roots, my pieces are character studies.

My sketchbooks are full of odd moments that make up much of the human experience, yet are often ignored. Moments in which someone claims they "casually accessorize" or wonders whether it's "OK" to face the lockers to change in a locker room. Most of my work is in pen and ink or watercolor, though I’ve been known to use oil paints and stop-motion animation. I'm fascinated with tattoos, lists, wildlife, portraiture, earnestness, collections, mom jeans worn by men, and feelings. My dog Louie is my most reliable source of inspiration.
